Utter Threats: Allegation of Utter Threats involves threatening to cause bodily harm or death. Often this crime, the Crown’s sole basis of evidence is the statement of the complainant without any other evidence. In these types of cases credibility of the parties is often a major issue. As many times there are no independent witnesses, with respect to the issue is credibility of the parties; the Crown has the onus to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that the accused has committed the offence.

A conviction for these offences may lead to criminal conviction and/or jail.
